Over the course of 1.5 years, I have recorded and posted 30 videos so far of a Journey to Power Yoga. Admittedly, they are not the best of quality but were all done with compassion and joy. I feel extremely centered and grounded when I am on the yoga mat. Each time I practice yoga, it soothes my soul and lull me into more peacefulness and clarity. It is as if nothing else exists, except the present moment of the flow.
Nature is appreciated whether in stillness or in motion. Reflections of life occur on a continuum because we live out our moments of joy and sorrow, and we own it. Some moments are even captured in photos, like the one I chose to represent this month’s post. This photo was taken in Southern, Italy, under what seems so simple an arch over a cobblestone street; yet so elegant and symbolic. From this photo, it reminds me how nothing is random and how everything-random could have a meaning. This was one of the most significant brief moments during my recent travels where I realize my yoga and meditation practice serves as the foundation to my enjoyment of my surroundings, reminding me to soak in the views and listen to the sounds around me. Moments like these are where I find my way back to my center.
It may take a photo of a charming arched cobblestone street to remind me of my foundation and the why behind my purpose in life all over again. History helps us appreciate where we are today and gives character to each place that we are grateful to pay a visit. I am grateful each time I find my way back to my center again, each time I feel more grounded… There is so much to look forward to as I continue my journey to deepen centering practice and as I fine-tune my purpose to continue to serve others in the world of health and science. I hope you, too, continue to fine-tune your purpose as you define your center. Perhaps… consider taking the first step onto a yoga mat, if you haven’t already done so! 😉
